1. What programs do you use?

I use Photoshop CS3. It's fast, it's more reliable than CS2 and it has everything I need.

2. Do you use custom brushes?
Yes, I use an awesome brush set made by Levente Peterffy. You can get it from his deviant profile, http://leventep.deviantart.com

3. What kind of tablet do you use?
I use the Wacom Intous A5.

4. What resolution do you paint in?
For speedpaints/quick concept paintings I usually work in 3000X1800 300 dpi. For mattepaintings and more detailed work it can be everything from 4000 to 10 000 pixels wide.

5. How long have you been painting?
I've always enjoyed drawing with pen and paper, and I discovered Photoshop when I was 19. I only kept it as an occasional hobby until the summer of 2007, when I started studying 3D at Digital Graphics, Nackademin in Stockholm.

6. How do you achieve such sharp edges in your paintings?
A mixture of using the lasso tool, hard edged brushes and the unsharp mask filter. When applying the filter I use a high amount, 70%, and a low radius, 0,3 %. I sometimes apply it several times to create a really crisp effect, but only on speedpaintings. Longer and more detailed paintings usually doesn't benefit from the sharp filters in the same way.

7. Have you studied art?
No. I've had a few standard painting lessons in school but nothing out of the ordinary swedish school system.

8. How do you usually create a speedpainting?
The most common way for me to create a speedpainting is to try and find a simple composition by either blocking out the main focal point/light source with a big round brush, or simply create a very loose lineart and apply color on top.

9. Do you use real photos in your paintings?
Yes. Using photos usually speeds up my process. It takes practice to integrate photos in your work, so make sure you learn how to make a nice painting first. I can't stress enough how important it is to practicing making a nice composition and learn about lightning and color values before starting using photos and custom brushes. It will make you a better artist, trust me.

10. How long have you been working as a concept artist?
I started working proffessionally in june 2008.

11. How do I get a job as a concept artist?
By practicing a LOT. There are no shortcuts. Post your work on all the biggest art communities, deviantart, cgtalk, cghub, conceptart etc and make sure you get some exposure. If you show that you're progressing and/or if you're good enough you will meet the right people sooner or later. Never give up!

12. Where do you find inspiration?
Other artists. Mostly the big names: Dylan Cole, Yannick Dusseault, John Wallin, Ryan Church, Henrik Holmberg, Marek etc but also lots of guys that are active in the communities and art forums. There's an infinite number of talents out there to keep you inspired.
Movies and music can also be very good sources of inspiration. Or why not mother earth? Just walk outside and look around.

13. Can you make a speedpaint tutorial/video?
Maybe, but my first step will be some livestreaming. I have the account, now all I need is some spare time!

14. Can you do a painting for me?
Unfortunately no. I often don't even have time to do commissioned work and when I do get some free time I like to either do something else besides painting or just work on my own stuff.

15. Do you have any tutorials online?

Yes, I have a tutorial for a concept interior shot I did a while ago.
